12 Steps to Great Credit
It all begins with a single action!
Step 1 - Get your Credit Report ($1 7-Day Trial) https://www.smartcredit.com/PlatinumCreditNOWCV
Step 2 - Review your credit report. Not sure how to read your credit report? Schedule a free consultation with Credit Expert Alicia Ault HERE.
Step 3 - Do you have at least 3 open and active credit cards and one installment loan? If not go here and get The Credit Builder Credit Card, Experian Boost, The Self Loan, and Azpire credit card.
Step 4 - Do you have any credit cards with balances over 20% of the credit limit? If so, start now to make a plan to pay these down. Start with the easiest one.
Step 5 - Do you have student loans that you are not actively paying on? If they are in forbearance and you are not required to make a payment I suggest that you make a payment of at least $5 to each student loan to create activity on them.
Step 6 - Do you have negative inaccurate information on your credit report? If so, go to www.creditacorn.com and sign up for the free credit dispute software and start your credit disputes today!
Step 7 - Print, sign, and mail your credit disputes to each of the credit bureaus. These disputes are created from your account with Credit Acorn.
Step 8 - Wait for the results of your credit disputes (be patient give them 40 days to respond). Credit Acorn will then pull in your new report to analyze the changes for you.
Step 9 - After receiving the results from your disputes with Credit Acorn check to see if you have any medical collections. Settle or pay these off or down to under $500 and they will be removed from your credit report. Need help: Schedule HERE.
Step 10 - After receiving the results from your disputes with Credit Acorn check to see if you have any of these collections: (Portfolio Recovery, LVNV Funding, Choice Recovery, Resurgent Capital, Jefferson Capital Systems, Midland Funding, or ARS). These collection companies will settle and will also remove their reporting from your credit report like it never happened once it is settled and paid. Need help: Schedule HERE!
Step 11 - Continue to dispute negative inaccurate information from your credit report with Credit Acorn until all items are resolved.
Step 12 - Keep your credit monitoring with Smart Credit open and review it each month to check your progress and to make sure no new information has been placed on your credit report. Make sure to get the free Identity Theft Insurance provided by Smart Credit and the credit monitoring to be sent to your cell phone.
